Salford Cathedral, Lancashire

Salford Cathedral (formally the Cathedral Church of St John the Evangelist) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Salford, Lancashire. It is the seat of the Bishop of Salford. It was built between 1844-1848 to designs of Matthew Ellison Hadfield. It was consecrated as a cathedral in 1890. It is within the council area of Salford.
