Ryknild Street (aka Icknield Street) is a Roman road which runs from the Fosse Way at Bourton on the Water in Gloucestershire to Templeborough in Yorkshire, part of the route crossing through Derbyshire. The route north of Derby is not fully known,but the road crosses to the east of Horsley as a trackway. This stretch is within the council area of Amber Valley (Derbyshire).
