Ruislip, Middlesex
Ruislip is a suburban town in Middlesex. It remained a village until the early 20th century, when the arrival of the railway saw it grow into a suburban town as the century progressed. St Martin's Church dates from the 13th century. The buildings at the northern end of the High Street form the core of the original village square. Manor Farm is a mediæval farm complex, with the 13th century Great Barn and a 16th-century farm house. The town is within the council area of Hillingdon.
