Royston, Yorkshire
Royston is a large village in Yorkshire, in the West Riding. Once a farming village, Royston became industrialised with the construction of the Barnsley canal and the Midland Railway. The Trans Pennine Trail passes along the canal bank through the village. Royston is within the council area of Barnsley.
