Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire

Royal Wootton Bassett (formerly Wootton Bassett) is a market town in Wiltshire. The town was granted the tile "Royal" in 2011 by Queen Elizabeth II in recognition of the townsfolk's honouring of the fallen soldiers whose bodies passed through the town, brought home from Afghanistan and Iraq by way of nearby RAF Lyneham. The town is within the council area of Wiltshire.
