Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire
Royal Leamington Spa (commonly known as Leamington Spa or just Leamington) is a spa town in Warwickshire, on the River Leam. Originally a small village called Leamington Priors, it grew into a spa town in the 18th century following the popularisation of its water which was reputed to have medicinal qualities. The town contains especially fine ensembles of Regency architecture and several large public parks: Jephson Gardens, the Royal Pump Room Gardens and Victoria Park. The town is within the council area of Warwick (Warwickshire).
