Rough Fort, Down

Rough Fort is a bivallate rath in the town of Moira, County Down. The high, roughly circular central area (90ft in diameter) is slightly dished, surrounded by a deep ditch, a bank and outer ditch. The monument is in the care of the Department for Communities. The monument is within the council area of Lisburn and Castlereagh.
