Rothes, Morayshire
Rothes (or Rothes-on-Spey) is a small town in Morayshire, on the banks of the River Spey south of Elgin. At the south end of the village lie the remains of Rothes Castle, which dates from the 13th century. The town is host to five distilleries. Rothes is within the council area of Moray.
