Rosherville, Kent

Rosherville is a former 19th century new town that is now an urban area on the south bank of the River Thames in Northfleet, Kent. Rosherville was developed by Jeremiah Rosher from 1930 as a riverside resort. Rosherville Gardens was a pleasure garden laid out in 1837 in a disused chalk pit. The gardens closed in the early 20th century and Rotherville itself came to be considered a part of Northfleet. It is within the council area of Gravesham (Kent).
