Risley, Lancashire
Risley is a suburban village in Lancashire. During the Second World War, a large area to the south-west of the village centre was the site of the Royal Ordnance Factory Risley, later the site of offices and laboratories for the UK's nuclear programmes and now an industrial area. Risley is now contiguous with the new town of Birchwood. It is within the council area of Warrington.
