Rippleside is a former hamlet that is now an urban area in Barking, Essex. The hamlet lay on the south side of Ripple Road. The area is now dominated by commercial estates and the Ripple Lane rail terminal. The Dagenham Idol, a pinewood figure radiocarbon dated to c.2250 BC, was dug out of the marshes south of the hamlet in 1922. The area is within the council area of Barking and Dagenham.
