Rider's Rings, Devon

Rider's Rings (aka The Rings) is an agglomerated enclosed stone hut circle settlement overlooking the valley of the River Avon near Black Tor on Dartmoor, Devon. The monument survives as a roughly rectangular enclosure to the south-west measuring 420ft long by 330ft wide internally, with a slightly curving enclosure abutted to the north-east measuring 690ft long by 220ft wide defined by double faced banks measuring up to 20ft wide and 5ft high. Within the southern enclosure there are at least 16 stone hut circles. The site is within the council area of South Hams (Devon).
