Redlingfield Priory, Suffolk
Redlingfield Priory is the remains of a mediæval nunnery at Redlingfield, Suffolk. The priory was founded by Emma de Arras, Countess of Guisnes, in 1120. It was dissolved in 1537 and the estate given to Sir Edmund Bedingfield. Most of the nunnery buildings were demolished between 1537 and 1783, leaving one remaining structure, now a barn. A series of earthworks related to the core of the nunnery pie immediately to the south of the church of St Andrew. A fish pond, known as The Leys, survives to the west of nunnery. The mounment is within the council area of Mid Suffolk (Suffolk).
