Raynes Park, Surrey

Raynes Park is an urban area to the south of Wimbledon, Surrey. Richard Garth, lord of the manor of Morden, bought Park House Farm in 1867. He laid out Grand Drive and in 1871 funded the opening of Raynes Park station, named after the farm’s former owner Edward Rayne. It took several decades for the area to be fully built up. It is within the council area of Merton.
