Rawtenstall, Lancashire

Rawtenstall is a town in Lancashire, at the centre of the Rossendale Valley. Rawtenstall originated in the Middle Ages, but saw major growth during the Industrial Revolution. The Irwell Sculpture Trail passes through the town, four sculptures being located here. Whitaker Park consists of the former house of the mill owner George Hardman, set in extensive landscaped grounds. The town is within the council area of Rossendale (Lancashire).
