Ranscombe Camp, Sussex

Ranscombe Camp is a large univallate Iron Age hillfort near Lewes, Sussex. The fort is situated on a hill which forms part of the Sussex Downs, enjoying extensive views of the Ouse valley to the south. Excavations suggest it dates from the 6th century BC. It is within the council area of Lewes (East Sussex).
