Raholp Church, Down
Raholp Church is a ruined small mediæval church in the townland of Raholp, County Down. The church stands on a rectangular platform built on natural rock and is revetted at the east end. It is a gabled, rectangular structure with rubble walls, originally bounded in yellow clay. The church is traditionally associated with Bishop Tassach and is known locally as St Tassach’s. An 11th-century date has been suggested. The monument is in the care of the Department for Communities. The monument is within the council area of Newry, Mourne and Down.
