Prittlewell, Essex
Prittlewell is a former village that is now an urban area in the north of Southend-on-Sea. Southend-on-Sea was originally the 'south end' of Prittlewell but long ago grew to encompass its mother village. St Mary's Church was founded in the 7th century as a chapel by the Saxons. It is within the council area of Southend-on-Sea.
