Prinknash Park, Gloucestershire

Prinknash Park (aka Prinknash Abbey) is a historic house and estate, now a Benedictine monastery, near Upton St Leonards, Gloucestershire. In 1096, the estate was gifted by the Giffard family to Serlo, Abbot of St Peter's, Gloucester and remained a monastery until the Dissolution. Much of the present house dates from the abbacy of William Parker around 1520. In 1928 the estate once again became a Benedictine monastery. It is within the council area of Stroud (Gloucestershire).
