Presteigne (Welsh: Llanandras) is the county town of Radnorshire. The name "Presteigne" is from Old English; preosta tun meaning "priests' town". The Welsh name is Llanandras ("St Andrew's church"). The church is indeed dedicated to St Andrew. The town is within the council area of Powys.
