Prestatyn is a seaside resort town in Flintshire. It stands on the Irish Sea coast, to the east of Rhyl. Following the arrival of the railways, "Sunny Prestatyn" became famous for its beach, clean seas and promenade entertainers. Prestatyn Carnival is the major annual summer event in the town. Prestatyn is within the council area of Denbighshire.
