Prehen House, Londonderry

Prehen House is an early Georgian classical country house, located on the southern bank of the River Foyle to the south of the city of Londonderry, County Londonderry. It is within the townland of Prehen, in the civil parish of Clondermot. It was built largely in the early 1740s. It is thought to have been designed by local architect Michael Priestley. It was built for Andrew Knox, MP for County Donegal, after he married Prehen heiress Honoria Tomkins. It retains its original plan and many of its original features, including its noteworthy King-post truss roof timbers. It is within the council area of Derry City and Strabane.
