Portingbury Hills, Essex

Portingbury Hills is a group of Iron Age earthworks in Beggarshall Coppice, Hatfield Forest, Essex. The earthworks consist of 3 features; a hill and mound connected by a zig-zag causeway formed by 2 almost parallel ditches to another rectangular enclosure measuring 98ft × 69ft surrounded by a large ditch with a suggested bank up to 36 feet wide. The site is within the council area of Uttlesford (Essex).
