Ponter's Ball, Somerset
Ponter's Ball is a cross dyke situated on a ridge of higher ground between Hearty Moor and Kennard Moor, near Glastonbury, Somerset. The cross dyke survives as a substantial linear bank measuring approximately 1,200yds long with a partially buried ditch to the east. Although preserved differentially the bank stands up to 17ft high. It is believed to date from the Bronze Age. It is within the council area of Somerset.
