Ponders End, Middlesex
Ponders End is a former village that is now an urban area in the south-east of Enfield, Middlesex. It became industrialised during the 19th century due to its location to the west of the River Lee Navigation. During the late 20th century much of the manufacturing gave way to warehousing and residential developments. Wrights Flour Mill (opened 1789) is Enfield's oldest working industrial building. Ponders End is within the council area of Enfield.
