Pollokshaws, Renfrewshire

Pollokshaws is a former village which became a burgh in 1858 and which has now become an urban area in the Glasgow conurbation. It is in Eastwood civil parish in Renfrewshire. Pollokshaws Burgh Hall on Pollokshaws Road was built in 1895–98 by architect Robert Rowand Anderson in the Scots renaissance style. Pollokshaws is within the council area of City of Glasgow.
