Poleglass, Antrim

Poleglass is a suburban area, usually considered an outer south-western suburb of Belfast, County Antrim. It lies within the townlands of Poleglass and Ballycullo Tom Of The Tae-End, in the civil parishes of Derryaghy and Shankill. The area remained largely rural until the late 1970s since when it has seen much housing development, being made up of numerous small estates. The Poleglass area is within the council area of Belfast.
