Plaistow is a former hamlet that is now a suburban area in the north of the town of Bromley, Kent. The area was developed, initially by the People's Freehold Land Society, following the opening of Sandridge road railway station in 1878. Plaistow Lodge was built be estate owner Peter Thellusson in the late 18th century. St Mary's Church was consecrated in 1863. The area is within the council area of Bromley.
