Pitches Mount, Suffolk
Pitches Mount is the remains of a Norman motte-and-bailey castle in Groton Park, Suffolk. It may have been built in the 12th Century by Adam de Cockfield. Only the motte survives, around 200ft in diameter. It may be named after John Pytches who bought Groton House in 1805. The monument is within the council area of Babergh (Suffolk).
