Pipewell Gate, Sussex

Pipewell Gate is a mediæval gate to Winchelsea, Sussex. It was rebuilt in the early 15th century after the French had burned the town in 1380. It has two four-centred archways with the lower portion of a square tower over them. It is within the council area of Rother (East Sussex).
