Pilgrims' Way, Surrey

The Pilgrims' Way is a section of an ancient routeway near Reigate, Surrey. The trackway forms part of a supposed route taken by pilgrims from Winchester, Hampshire to the shrine of Thomas Becket at Canterbury, Kent. Some authors believe it to be part of a much older prehistoric routeway. Others reject the idea that it is part of a single routeway at all. The site is within the council area of Reigate and Banstead (Surrey).
