Pennycross, Devon

Pennycross is a former village that is now an urban area in the north of Plymouth, Devon. The area to the south of the village was developed as 'Pennycross' from the early 20th century. It was the site of Pennycross Stadium (greyhound racing and speedway) from 1928-1972. Post-war development has seen the village itself become part of the urban area. It is within the council area of Plymouth.
