Penlle'r-Castell, Glamorgan

Penlle'r-Castell is a ruined mediæval castle on Mynydd y Gwair, Glamorgan. It is believed to be a late 13th-century stronghold garrisoned by one of the Marcher Lords. The site comprises a series of impressive earthworks with deep ditches and some fragments of the former stone buildings. It is within the council area of Swansea.
