Penhargard Castle, Cornwall

Penhargard Castle is an Iron Age defended settlement near Helland, Cornwall. It is situated on a prominent ridge above the steep southern valley side of a tributary to the River Camel. The settlement survives as a roughly-circular enclosed area of up to 290ft in diameter. It is defined by a single rampart and partially-buried outer ditc It is within the council area of Cornwall.
