Pengenna, Cornwall

Pengenna (aka Pengenna Manor) is a mediæval manor house near St Teath, Cornwall. The manor began as a single, large, two-storey room around 1200, serving as a farmstead hall. Animals were sheltered in one end of the building for security, while the human inhabitants lived and slept at the other end. The house has been adapted over the centuries with a mix of Tudor, Georgian, and Victorian extensions. In the 21st century, it has been used a venue for weddings, birthday parties, corporate functions, and charity fundraisers. It is within the council area of Cornwall.
