Pendeford, Staffordshire
Pendeford is a suburban village in Staffordshire. It was listed as its present spelling, 'Pendeford', in Domesday. It remained a small hamlet until the 1930s when Pendeford Airfield was opened to the south of the hamlet. The recent suburban part of Pendeford was built on the airfield land after its closure in 1970. The village is within the council areas of Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire (Staffordshire).
