Pendas Fields, Yorkshire
Pendas Fields (or Penda's Fields) is an outer suburb of Leeds, Yorkshire, in the West Riding. The estate was built in the 1980s. It is named after King Penda of Mercia, the estate lying close to one suggested site for the Battle of Winwaed in AD 655, at which Penda fell. It is within the council area of Leeds.
