Patterson's Spade Mill, Antrim

Patterson's Spade Mill is is a water-powered spade mill in the townland of Carnanee, near the village of Templepatrick, County Antrim. There has a been a mill on the site since at least 1770. First used as a flax and corn mill, it was subsequently converted to use as a paper mill and then as a spade mill. It has been in the care of the National Trust since 1992. Spade forging continues at the mill. It is within the council area of Antrim and Newtownabbey.
