Parke, Devon
Parke is a historic estate and country house near Bovey Tracey, Devon. William Hole (1799-1859) of Stickwick purchased the estate of Parke in 1825. Around 1826-28 he demolished the ancient house at Parke and rebuilt it as the present surviving Parke House. The estate was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1974 and has subsequently been used as the headquarters of the Dartmoor National Park Authority. It is within the council area of Teignbridge (Devon).
