Padiham, Lancashire
Padiham is a small town in Lancashire, on the River Calder. A market town for many centuries, Padiham grew in the 19th century based on coal-mining and weaving, helped by proximity to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Padiham Town Hall as built in 1938 to designs by Bradshaw Gass & Hope. The town is within the council area of Burnley (Lancashire).
