Otley, Yorkshire
Otley is a market town in Yorkshire, in the West Riding. The original town lies on the south bank of the River Wharfe, at a bridging point on the river. The area of Newall lies north of the river has come to be considered a part of Otley since its inclusion (in 1903) in the former urban district of Otley. Otley Bridge is a 7-span stone bridge dating from 1228. All Saints Church contains the remains of two Anglo-Saxon crosses. The town is within the council area of Leeds.
