Osterley Park, Middlesex
Osterley Park is a Georgian country house (Osterley House) and estate near Heston, Middlesex. The original building on this site was a manor house built in the 1570s for banker Sir Thomas Gresham. The house was remodelled from 1761 to 1765 by Robert Adam. The house is of red brick with white stone details and is approximately square, with turrets in the four corners. Adam's neoclassical interiors are among his most notable sequences of rooms. The house and surrounding gardens and parklands have been in the care of the National Trust since 1991. It is within the council area of Hounslow.
