Ossett, Yorkshire
Ossett is a market town in Yorkshire, in the West Riding. Ossett is a part of the so-called Heaven Woollen District of the West Riding, the name referring to the manufacture of heavyweight cloth. The textile industries continues to operate in the town. Ossett Town Hall, on the Market Place, was constructed in 1908 in the renaissance style. The town is within the council area of Wakefield.
