Oldpark, Antrim

Oldpark is an urban area in the north of Belfast, County Antrim. It lies within the townland of Old Park, in the civil parish of Shankill. Old Park House was built for David Lyons, who also owned a bleach-yard in the area in the 1750s. From the late 19th century the area was developed with terraced housing for workers in the nearby linen mills around Crumlin and Shankill Roads. The Oldpark area is within the council area of Belfast.
