Oldbury Camp, Wiltshire

Oldbury Camp (aka Oldbury Castle) is a large Iron Age hillfort, located on Cherhill Down near Cherhill, Wiltshire. The monument was originally constructed in the Bronze Age in the form of a hill top enclosure consisting of a bank and ditch which surrounded an area of 15 acres. This was enlarged in the Iron Age to form a hillfort. A Bronze Age cross dyke lies outside the fort's ramparts. It is within the council area of Wiltshire.
