Old Wolverton, Buckinghamshire

Old Wolverton is a village in Buckinghamshire. The village was depopulated by the landowners from the 17th century, though never entirely deserted. The Saxon Church of Holy Trinity has Saxon origins and was rebuilt in 1815. The modern town of Wolverton developed to the east of the village in the 19th century, the 'Old' being added to the village name to differentiate the two. In recent times the town has spread to cover the area in the south of the original village. The village is within the council area of Milton Keynes.
