Old Oak Common, Middlesex
Old Oak Common is an urban area in the north-east of Acton, Middlesex. Old Oak Commons was originally a large area of common land lying to the north-east of Acton and north of Wormwood Scrubs. The area was increasingly industrialised from the opening of the Paddington Canal in 1801 to the construction of the Old Oak Common traction maintenance depot in 1906. The area saw major redevelopment from the 2010s. The area is within the council area of Hammersmith and Fulham.
