Old Milton, Hampshire

Old Milton (formerly just Milton) is a village in Hampshire. The village lies on the Lymington and Christchurch Road, between New Milton to its north and Barton on Sea to its south. The prefix 'Old' has been used since the 20th century to distinguish the old village of Milton from the town of New Milton which grew up to its north following the opening of New Milton railway station in 1888. It is within the council area of New Forest (Hampshire).
