Old Mill, Wiltshire

The Old Mill is a mediæval water mill in West Harnham, Salisbury, Wiltshire. Dating from the 13th century, the building was converted in the 16th century from ecclesiastical use to Wiltshire's first paper mill, when the River Nadder was diverted to flow under it. The adjoining four-storey mill house dates from the early 19th century. In the early 20th century, the mill house was converted into a country club by Mary Fox-Pitt, daughter-in-law of Augustus Pitt Rivers, and has since been used as a hotel and restaurant. It is within the council area of Wiltshire.
