Old Malden, Surrey
Old Malden (or just Malden) is a village in Surrey. It is listed in Domesday as 'Meldone'. The present St John the Baptist church and Manor House date from the early 17th century, though both are believed to be of more ancient origin. The prefix 'Old' has increasingly been used to distinguish the village from New Malden to its north since the growth of the latter in the 19th century. The village is within the council area of Kingston upon Thames.
